Ex-Bollywood Star Rimi Sen Opens Up on Life Truth: “Nothing Matters More Than Money”

Rimi Sen shares her blunt life lesson on money and career after moving from Bollywood to real estate.

Former Bollywood Actress Rimi Sen, known for hits like Dhoom, Hungama, and Phir Hera Pheri, has opened up about a hard-hitting life lesson she learned about money. Speaking at a Dubai real estate event hosted by Mytra Official, Sen candidly stated that money holds more importance than honor or relationships, calling it a “bitter truth” she has experienced firsthand.

The actress, who transitioned from films to real estate in Dubai, advised attendees to prioritize financial stability and pursue what works for them. “Money comes before honor, money comes before relationships,” she said, urging people to focus on opportunities that bring tangible results rather than following dreams blindly. She added that one should leave behind anything that doesn’t work, as time is irretrievable.

Sen also reflected on the challenges of being a woman in Bollywood. Speaking on Buildcaps Real Estate LLC’s podcast, she noted that career longevity for actresses is limited compared to their male counterparts. “Men tend to rule the industry,” she said, citing that actors like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have dominated for decades, while female co-stars often transition to supporting roles or maternal characters.

Explaining her decision to leave Bollywood, Rimi highlighted her focus on financial security and freedom. She said she planned her career to maximize earnings through films and events before moving into production and business. Her venture into production included the film Budhia Singh (2016), which won a National Award, marking a successful step toward entrepreneurship.

Rimi Sen emphasized that stepping away from the screen allowed her to avoid the pressures of constant visibility and focus on long-term stability. “I am safer now, I don’t have the pressure of being in front of a camera or wasting time. At the end of the day, you want financial security and freedom,” she said, underscoring her pragmatic approach to career and life choices.

With her shift to real estate in Dubai, Sen continues to inspire those considering bold career moves. Her candid remarks about money and career strategy highlight a realistic perspective on life, success, and the importance of seizing opportunities while they last.
