Elvish Yadav and Jiyya Shankar Engagement Rumours False, Just Show Promotion
Elvish Yadav and Jiya Shankar not engaged; viral photo promotes their new show.
Social Media went abuzz recently after popular influencer Elvish Yadav shared an Instagram photo showing him holding a woman’s hand adorned with a sparkling diamond ring. In the caption, he wrote, “Gave love another chance & I found my heart,” tagging Jiyaa Shankar. The post led to widespread speculation that the two were engaged.
Jiyaa Shankar further fueled rumours by resharing the image with a simple heart emoji, prompting fans to question whether a real-life proposal had taken place. However, sources close to the duo clarified that the post was promotional in nature and not an actual engagement announcement.
According to reports by Etimes, Elvish and Jiyaa are set to co-host the second season of the dating reality show Engaged Roka Ya Dhoka. The show follows Gen-Z contestants navigating relationships and attempting to convert casual connections into serious commitments. The engagement speculation is part of a marketing strategy to generate buzz ahead of the premiere.

The first season of Engaged Roka Ya Dhoka, which premiered in 2025, was hosted by Harsh Gujral and Uorfi Javed and concluded with Sifat Sehgal and Karan Raj emerging as winners. The upcoming season aims to attract a larger audience by featuring Elvish and Jiyaa as hosts, leveraging their social media popularity.
Elvish Yadav rose to fame after participating in Bigg Boss OTT, where he eventually won, while Jiyaa Shankar had an early exit. Following the show, Elvish joined MTV Roadies as a gang leader and currently appears on the comedy series Laughter Chefs, hosted by Bharti Singh and Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi.
Jiyaa Shankar, on the other hand, is preparing for her Tamil film debut in Kadhal Reset Repeat alongside actor Madumkesh. Both stars remain focused on their respective careers, and the viral Instagram post should be viewed as a creative promotional effort rather than a reflection of their personal relationship status.
