Dhurandhar Emerges As Netflix’s Most-Watched Non-English Movie From January To June 2026

Indian film “Dhurandhar” has emerged as Netflix’s most-watched non-English movie during the first half of 2026, according to the streaming platform’s latest “What We Watched” engagement report. The film recorded 37 million views between January and June 2026, helping Indian content achieve its strongest six-month performance on Netflix so far.
Netflix’s report highlighted growing global interest in non-English entertainment, with more than one-third of total viewing on the platform coming from titles made outside the English language category. Indian productions featured prominently among the most-watched international content, with “Dhurandhar” leading the film rankings during the reporting period.
Other Indian titles also performed strongly on the platform. “Accused” recorded 19 million views, while “Made in Korea” received 18 million views. The first season of “Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web” registered 16 million views, contributing to India’s highest-ever six-month viewing figures on Netflix.

Globally, Netflix reported that its members watched more than 97 billion hours of content from January to June 2026, marking the company’s highest viewing total for a six-month period. The platform said the data reflects changing audience preferences and the increasing popularity of content from different countries and languages.
Among series, “His & Hers” became the most-watched show during the period with 104 million views, followed closely by “Bridgerton” Season 4 with 100 million views. The return of the popular series also boosted interest in earlier seasons, with the entire “Bridgerton” franchise collecting 180 million views during the six-month period.
Netflix also noted strong performances from its global film catalogue, with “War Machine” leading original movie viewership with 147 million views. The company said titles from countries including South Korea, Japan, Spain, India, South Africa, Poland, Brazil, Mexico, Norway, Thailand, Italy and Denmark continued to expand the reach of international entertainment worldwide.
