Dhurandhar 2 Dominates Box Office on Day 41 While Bhooth Bangla Gains Pace in Second Week
Dhurandhar 2 collects Rs 1.35 crore on Day 41; Bhooth Bangla shows modest but steady second-week performance.
Horror-comedy film Bhooth Bangla has recorded a slowdown in collections after a stronger weekend run, as its second-week performance begins to taper at the domestic box office. According to the latest reported figures, the film has shown steady but moderate traction, reflecting solid interest within its genre category while facing limitations in broader mass-market appeal across India.
By the end of Day 12, Bhooth Bangla had reportedly earned Rs 144.25 crore in total India gross collections and Rs 121.40 crore in India net collections. Its worldwide gross collections stood at Rs 195.25 crore, indicating respectable overseas and domestic support. While those numbers are encouraging for a mid-range horror-comedy, weekday drops suggest momentum has softened compared with the double-digit gains seen over the weekend.
The film features a notable supporting cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Tabu, whose presence has added weight to the project. Audience response has been strongest among viewers seeking comedy-driven supernatural entertainment, a genre that has found periodic success in recent years. However, trade observers note that the film has not generated the kind of nationwide frenzy associated with larger event releases.

Industry attention has also turned to comparisons with Dhurandhar 2, which remains in cinemas despite entering its sixth week. On Day 41, that film is reportedly still collecting lower single-digit crore figures while continuing to screen in around 3,000 shows. Its sustained theatrical run has been cited as evidence of stronger long-term audience retention.
In contrast, Bhooth Bangla is earning slightly more than Dhurandhar 2 on a day-to-day basis at this stage, but it benefits from a much wider screen count and a fresher release cycle. Analysts point out that Dhurandhar 2 had amassed nearly six times the collections of Bhooth Bangla within its first 12 days, underlining the significant difference in scale between the two films.
Even so, Bhooth Bangla remains a decent performer relative to expectations for its genre. Its final verdict may depend on weekday stability, competition from upcoming releases and its ability to retain family audiences over the coming week. If it maintains reasonable occupancy levels, the film could still finish with a commercially respectable lifetime total.
