Dhurandhar 2 Crosses Rs 1,100 Crore; Bhooth Bangla Holds Steady in Week 4

Dhurandhar 2 crosses Rs 1,100 crore; Bhooth Bangla maintains a fourth-week hold.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Bhooth Bangla continued their theatrical runs with declining weekday collections as both films witnessed a midweek slowdown at the Indian box office. While Dhurandhar: The Revenge has already established itself as one of the highest-grossing films of the year, Bhooth Bangla has managed to maintain a steady performance in its fourth week despite reduced occupancy and falling show counts across major cities.

According to early box office estimates, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, earned approximately ₹0.12 crore net on Day 56 from 392 shows nationwide. The film had collected around ₹0.40 crore on the previous day, marking a sharp weekday decline of nearly 70%. Despite the slowdown, the action entertainer has achieved a historic theatrical run with total India gross collections reaching nearly ₹1,369 crore, while its India net earnings have crossed approximately ₹1,143 crore.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar starrer Bhooth Bangla collected around ₹0.40 crore net on Day 27 across more than 2,200 shows. The horror-comedy had earned approximately ₹1.60 crore on Day 26, reflecting a significant drop of nearly 75%. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film has nevertheless performed strongly for a mid-budget Bollywood release, earning an estimated ₹192 crore gross and around ₹162 crore net in India so far.

Weekly trends indicate the gradual tapering of collections for both films as newer releases and reduced screen availability affect their box office momentum. Dhurandhar: The Revenge posted massive first-week collections exceeding ₹674 crore before gradually declining over the following weeks. Bhooth Bangla also recorded a strong opening week with collections above ₹84 crore and maintained reasonable stability during subsequent weeks compared to many recent Hindi releases.

Occupancy figures on Wednesday reflected the expected slowdown in footfalls. Dhurandhar: The Revenge registered an overall Hindi occupancy of nearly 14% during morning shows, with Bengaluru reporting particularly strong numbers despite limited screenings. Cities such as Mumbai and Pune maintained moderate occupancy levels, while the National Capital Region witnessed comparatively weaker turnout. Bhooth Bangla, on the other hand, recorded morning occupancy of under 5%, with Jaipur emerging among the stronger-performing centres for the film.

Industry analysts believe Dhurandhar: The Revenge is now entering the final phase of its theatrical run after nearly eight weeks in cinemas, although it continues to generate small daily collections despite major screen reductions. Bhooth Bangla still appears to have some theatrical momentum remaining because of positive audience response toward its comedy-horror format. Both films are expected to continue adding modest revenues over the coming days before major upcoming releases dominate cinema screens across India.
