Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Day 17: Ranveer Singh's Spy Epic Closes in on Rs 1,000 Crore in India

Ranveer Singh’s espionage action thriller Dhurandhar 2 continues its unstoppable run at the box office, inching closer to the Rs 1,000 crore mark in India on its 17th day. The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, collected Rs 25.65 crore domestically on Saturday, pushing its total India nett to Rs 985.02 crore. Globally, the movie has amassed Rs 1,165.37 crore.
Screening across 9,979 venues nationwide, Dhurandhar 2 has already set new records, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film ever in North America, surpassing SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2. The film achieved a remarkable feat by crossing the Rs 840.20 crore lifetime collection of the original Dhurandhar in just 11 days, compared to over 100 days for the 2025 prequel. Its second-week performance also surpassed Jawan and KGF Chapter 2.
The day-wise performance highlights include Day 11’s peak of Rs 68.10 crore, marking the highest single-day collection in its second week. Language splits for Day 17 show Hindi contributing Rs 13.54 crore, Telugu Rs 0.39 crore, and Tamil Rs 0.30 crore. Week 1 delivered Rs 674.17 crore, while Week 2 added Rs 263.15 crore, with Day 16 seeing Rs 21.55 crore, a 17.8% rise from the previous day.

The film follows Jaskirat Singh Rangi, a Punjabi man transformed into RAW agent Hamza Ali Mazari to tackle espionage threats in Karachi. The plot cleverly intertwines spy fiction with real-world events, including the 2014 elections, 2016 demonetization, and the renaming of Chakki Bank station to Pathankot. Ranveer Singh plays the lead, with Sanjay Dutt as SSP Chaudhary Aslam and Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, the ISI antagonist.
Clocking 3 hours and 49 minutes (229 minutes) and certified U/A, Dhurandhar 2 has been hailed as Ranveer Singh’s career-best performance. With its continued momentum, the film is poised to surpass Rs 1,000 crore domestically, cementing its place among the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema.
