Cocktail 2 Release Date Revealed: Shahid, Rashmika and Kriti Set For June 19 Arrival

The makers of Cocktail 2 on Friday unveiled the first posters of the film featuring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna while also announcing its theatrical release date. Directed by Homi Adajania, the romantic drama is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 19. The announcement was accompanied by character posters introducing the film’s lead cast, generating excitement among fans of the original film.

The promotional posters reveal glimpses of the characters without giving away the storyline. One poster shows Rashmika Mandanna capturing a scenic view on her phone while sitting in a drifting car, while another highlights Kriti Sanon relaxing inside a vehicle with a visible tattoo that reads “Catch the sea". A third poster features Shahid Kapoor staring directly into the camera while wearing sunglasses. The makers also confirmed that the teaser will be attached to preview screenings of Dhurandhar 2 beginning March 18.

Cocktail 2 is described as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 film Cocktail, which starred Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty. The new film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. Reports suggest the story will explore modern relationships and friendship dynamics through a love triangle involving the three lead characters.

Filming for the movie was completed in early 2026 following shooting schedules across Delhi, Gurugram and international locations including Sicily in Italy. The screenplay has been written by Luv Ranjan, known for films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The project also marks Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s second collaboration after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, while bringing Shahid and Rashmika Mandanna together on screen for the first time
