Chiranjeevi’s 'Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu' Crosses ₹100 Crore Worldwide in Two Days
Chiranjeevi's latest film crosses ₹100 crore worldwide in two days.
Chiranjeevi has delivered a resounding box office success with his latest release, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, which has swiftly crossed the ₹100 crore mark in worldwide gross collections within just two days of its theatrical debut. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film opened to enthusiastic audiences on Monday, January 12, 2026, capitalising on the Pongal holiday season and generating strong momentum right from its launch. The action entertainer, featuring Nayanthara in a lead role and an extended cameo by Daggubati Venkatesh, has emerged as a major commercial triumph for the Megastar.
The film recorded an impressive opening weekend, amassing over ₹65 crore worldwide on its first day, which included Saturday paid previews. On the second day, Monday, it experienced only a moderate 40% drop, collecting ₹19.50 crore net in the domestic market. This performance has taken the film's India net collection to ₹61.10 crore (₹73.25 crore gross) after two days. Internationally, the movie opened robustly with $2.3 million on day one and has now surpassed $3 million in overseas earnings, comfortably pushing the worldwide gross beyond the ₹100 crore milestone.
Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu has also overtaken Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab to claim the top position at the Indian box office. While The Raja Saab launched with a respectable ₹53 crore opening day last Friday, it suffered a sharp decline due to unfavourable word-of-mouth. On Monday, the Prabhas film managed only ₹4.85 crore, significantly lower than the Chiranjeevi film's haul on the same day. Industry observers anticipate a further surge for Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu during the Pongal holiday period, which is expected to reinforce its lead.

The film's swift ascent highlights Chiranjeevi's enduring appeal and the strategic timing of its release ahead of the festive season. As a quintessential mass entertainer packed with high-octane action sequences and family-oriented drama, it has resonated strongly with audiences across key territories. The steady hold on Monday, combined with positive reception in overseas markets, underscores the project's broad commercial viability and positions it as one of the strongest openings for a Telugu film in recent times.
With collections continuing to build and the Pongal holidays providing additional tailwinds, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu is poised for a potentially extended theatrical run. The film's performance has not only marked a triumphant return for Chiranjeevi but also shifted the Pongal box office dynamics, sidelining The Raja Saab from its initial frontrunner status. Trade analysts are closely monitoring its trajectory as it aims to achieve higher milestones in the coming days.
