Bhooth Bangla Teaser Out: Akshay Kumar, Priyadarshan Reunite After 14 Years

Akshay Kumar stars in Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla teaser.

The teaser of the upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla was unveiled on March 12, offering audiences their first glimpse of the film that reunites actor Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Priyadarshan after a gap of 14 years. The collaboration has generated significant excitement among fans, given the duo’s long history of successful comedy films.

The teaser introduces viewers to a mysterious and seemingly haunted mansion that forms the central setting of the story. In one humorous moment, Kumar’s character describes the sprawling property as being “only two rooms smaller than Buckingham Palace,” setting the tone for the film’s blend of supernatural suspense and light-hearted comedy. Despite the eerie surroundings, his character repeatedly insists that ghosts do not exist.

A major portion of the teaser highlights the dynamic between Kumar’s character and the one played by Wamiqa Gabbi. While Gabbi’s character becomes increasingly convinced that paranormal forces are at work inside the mansion, Kumar’s character remains stubbornly sceptical, creating much of the comedic tension seen in the preview.

The film also features a large ensemble cast that includes Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Tabu, Mithila Palkar and Jisshu Sengupta, suggesting a story driven by multiple characters and comedic interactions.

Beyond the humour, the teaser hints at a darker legend tied to the mansion. A local warning suggests that no one should get married inside the castle because of an ancient supernatural curse, indicating that the plot may revolve around uncovering the mystery behind the haunted estate.

The teaser blends eerie visuals with Priyadarshan’s trademark situational comedy and slapstick sequences, drawing comparisons with the duo’s earlier collaborations such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Phir Hera Pheri and Bhagam Bhag. Soon after its release on social media, the teaser received enthusiastic reactions from fans eager to see the actor-director pair reunite on screen.
