"Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata" Collects Rs 65 Lakh On Day 4; Gross Stands at Rs 5.86 Crore
Kangana Ranaut's Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata dips on first Monday; collects Rs 5.86 crore.
Kangana Ranaut’s Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, directed by Manoj Taparia, registered a noticeable dip in its box office performance on its first Monday (Day 4), even as it continues its theatrical run after releasing in India on June 12. The film opened to a moderate response and managed to hold its ground through the weekend, but the weekday slowdown has now become visible in its daily earnings.
On Day 4, the film collected around ₹65 lakh across 1,866 shows in India. This takes its total domestic net collection to approximately ₹4.90 crore, while the gross collection stands at about ₹5.86 crore, according to box office tracking data from Sacnilk. The first Monday performance comes after a weekend trend that showed gradual growth, but the momentum did not fully carry into the working week.
Looking at the daily breakdown, the film earned a steady upward trend over the weekend before slipping on Monday. It reportedly made around ₹1.15 crore on Friday, followed by ₹1.85 crore on Saturday, and peaked at ₹2.50 crore on Sunday. The Monday figure of ₹65 lakh reflects a typical post-weekend correction seen in many mid-budget Hindi releases, especially when audience footfall is driven more by weekend interest than sustained weekday demand.

Occupancy data also reflects the same pattern of decline. On Monday, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 11.39%, which is lower compared to weekend levels. The morning shows began weak at 5.23% occupancy, indicating limited early-day turnout. The afternoon shows improved slightly to 11.77%, while evening shows held better at 14.15%. Night shows again saw a mild dip at 13.23%, suggesting that audience interest remained uneven throughout the day rather than showing consistent traction.
In terms of regional performance, the film showed mixed results across Indian cities. Chennai emerged as the strongest-performing circuit with an average occupancy of around 15.3%, despite having fewer shows. Metro cities like Mumbai and Pune also contributed relatively better numbers, each recording around 15% occupancy, indicating stronger urban interest in the film’s subject matter. However, smaller markets like Surat lagged behind significantly, reporting as low as 4.5% occupancy across a large number of shows, which pulled down the overall average.
The film’s storyline, set against the backdrop of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, focuses on the bravery of hospital staff at Cama Hospital who worked under extreme pressure to protect and care for nearly 400 patients during the crisis. The emotional and patriotic theme has been highlighted as one of its key strengths, though it appears that critical word-of-mouth and weekday demand are still stabilizing.
Interestingly, before release, the film received additional attention when Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced it would be made tax-free in the state, calling it a motivational film that highlights duty and courage. Kangana Ranaut also welcomed the decision, stating that such steps help the film reach a wider audience. Despite this support, the box office trajectory suggests the film will now depend heavily on sustained word-of-mouth to maintain momentum beyond its opening week.
