BEST Bus hits Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s car in Mumbai
Sources confirmed that Aishwarya was not present in the car at the time of the collision.
A Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus collided with Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's luxury car in Mumbai's Juhu suburb on Wednesday, but no injuries were reported in the incident.
A viral video captured the moment when the high-end car – a Toyota Vellfire with the distinctive plate number '5050' – parked near megastar Amitabh Bachchan's residence, was rear-ended by the red BEST bus. Sources confirmed that Aishwarya was not present in the car at the time of the collision.
Despite the impact, the car sustained minimal damage and continued its journey shortly after the incident. Following the collision, a bouncer from a nearby bungalow, reportedly associated with Amitabh Bachchan's security detail, confronted the bus driver and slapped him.
"The bus driver inspected the car for damage after the collision near Mr. Bachchan's residence," a BEST official stated. "Subsequently, the driver alerted the police control room, prompting a quick response from law enforcement."
Upon arrival, police supervisors mediated the situation, with apologies extended from the bungalow's security team to the bus driver. The matter was resolved amicably, and no formal complaint or FIR was lodged.
The Toyota Vellfire, often chosen by Aishwarya Rai for her travels, is renowned for its luxurious interiors that boast heated and ventilated special seats, offering peak comfort and privacy-a preference shared by many other celebrities in Bollywood.
