“Bas Ghar Se Shooting, Airport, Ya Hotel”: Salman Khan Reveals His Strict 25-Year Routine

Salman Khan shares he hasn’t dined out in 25 years, reflecting on isolation, work, and fame.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan revealed a startling glimpse into his tightly guarded personal life at the Red Sea International Film Festival on Thursday, December 11, 2025, admitting that he has not stepped out for a casual dinner in the last 25–26 years. Speaking in candid Hindi during an “In Conversation With Salman Khan”, the 59-year-old actor described his daily routine as a relentless cycle of “ghar se shooting, shooting se ghar, ghar se airport, airport se hotel aur hotel se event.” The confession, delivered with his trademark nonchalance, left the audience stunned and quickly went viral across social media platforms.

“This is my life,” Salman said on stage. “25-26 saal ho gaye hain ke main kahin bahar dinner pe nahi gaya hun. Bas ghar, shooting, airport, hotel—that’s it.” He added that he has no regrets about the self-imposed isolation, explaining that the immense love and respect he receives from fans worldwide is worth the sacrifice. “Ya toh yeh chaiyeh ke aap ghumo-phiro aur yeh sab na ho—woh main nahi chahta. Itni izzat aur pyaar dete hain log, usi ke liye mehnat karta hun,” he said, acknowledging occasional complacency but quickly adding that he enjoys the anticipation of “what’s coming next.”

The actor also spoke emotionally about losing several close friends over the years, revealing that only four or five childhood companions remain by his side. The session, moderated at the festival’s main theatre in Jeddah’s historic Al Balad district, saw Salman in a reflective mood as he traced his 36-year journey from Maine Pyar Kiya to his upcoming projects.

Salman’s appearance marked his second consecutive year at the Red Sea Film Festival. On Wednesday night, he attended the prestigious Golden Globes gala dinner alongside Hollywood heavyweights Idris Elba, Edgar Ramírez, and Johnny Depp, with whom he was photographed sharing warm moments. Images from the event, posted on the festival’s official Instagram, showed Salman dressed in a sharp black suit, effortlessly mingling with global cinema icons.

Back home, the actor continues to dominate television as host of Bigg Boss 19 and recently made a cameo in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut web series.

Looking ahead, Salman will next be seen in the high-voltage patriotic action drama Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and co-starring Chitrangda Singh. The film revisits the 2020 India–China border clash in the Galwan Valley and is among the most anticipated releases of 2026. His last theatrical outing, Sikandar, underperformed earlier this year, making the new project crucial for reasserting his box-office supremacy.

The revelation about his reclusive routine has sparked widespread discussion, with fans expressing both concern and admiration for the discipline that has sustained one of Bollywood’s longest and most successful careers, even as it underscores the personal price of megastardom in India.
