Aryan Khan’s ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ Trailer: A Satirical Love Letter to Cinema
The trailer for Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, *The Ba***ds of Bollywood*, released on September 8, has set the internet ablaze with its bold, satirical take on the Hindi film industry.
Set to premiere on Netflix on September 18, the seven-episode series, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, blends romance, drama, and self-aware humor, featuring Lakshya as Aasmaan Singh, a starry-eyed outsider chasing Bollywood dreams, and Sahher Bambba as Karishma, the daughter of superstar Ajay Talvar (Bobby Deol).
The trailer, voiced by Shah Rukh Khan, opens with, “Mumbai, City of Dreams, but yeh shehar sab ka nahi hota,” setting a gritty tone. It showcases Aasmaan’s ambition, supported by his friend Parvaiz (Raghav Juyal), manager Sanya (Anya Singh), and family (Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Vijayant Kohli). A cheeky nod to Aryan’s 2021 jail time, with a line about fame post-incarceration, has fans buzzing, with one X post calling it “Aryan cooking very hard.”
