Akshay Kumar's Bhoot Bangla Smashes Rs 100 Crore Mark; Becomes Third Post-Pandemic Century for Star
Akshay Kumar's horror comedy Bhoot Bangla crosses Rs 100 crore globally in four days, with a domestic Rs 64.75 crore.
The horror-comedy film Bhoot Bangla, starring Akshay Kumar, has crossed the ₹100 crore mark globally within four days of its release, marking a significant box office milestone. The film, directed by Priyadarshan, has emerged as Kumar’s third ₹100 crore grosser in the post-pandemic era.
According to early estimates, the film has earned approximately ₹106.34 crore worldwide, reflecting a strong start despite mixed weekday performance. Domestically, the film’s total stands at around ₹64.75 crore net, although it witnessed a noticeable dip on its first Monday, collecting ₹6.75 crore, indicating a slowdown after the initial weekend momentum.
The film features an ensemble cast including Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi alongside Akshay Kumar. Its blend of horror and comedy has helped it maintain audience interest, even as competition from other releases remains limited at the box office.

While the film has achieved the ₹100 crore milestone quickly, it is still trailing behind some of Akshay Kumar’s recent releases such as Jolly LLB 3 and Housefull 5 in terms of overall performance. Industry observers note that sustaining collections in the coming days will be crucial for the film’s long-term success.
The current box office landscape has also worked in the film’s favour, with Dhurandhar: The Revenge nearing the end of its theatrical run and Dacoit: A Love Story failing to make a strong impact. This has allowed “Bhoot Bangla” to maintain a steady presence in cinemas.
Despite the drop on Monday, trade analysts suggest that the film still has potential to perform well over the coming week if it manages to stabilise weekday collections. Its performance in the second weekend will be a key indicator of whether it can match or surpass the success of Akshay Kumar’s recent hits.
