Akshay Kumar Recalls Chilling Home Experience, Confirms Twinkle Khanna Felt Supernatural Presence

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently shared a spooky personal experience during the India Today Conclave, recounting a time when he and his wife Twinkle Khanna felt unusual activity in their home. Speaking about the incident, Akshay revealed that Twinkle often insisted something mysterious was present, even though he initially dismissed her claims.
Recalling the incident, Akshay said that during their stay in a previous residence, Twinkle would repeatedly tell him, “There’s something here.” Their son Aarav Kumar was around four or five years old at the time. “I would tell her, ‘Tina, you’re educated—how can you say such things?’” he added, but Twinkle maintained that she had heard a lady walking inside the house.
The actor reflected on the experience, suggesting it made him reconsider the possibility of supernatural energy. “I presume maybe such things do exist—some kind of supernatural power or energy. People say that some individuals are surrounded by positive energy, while others attract negativity. There is always some kind of energy around us,” Akshay said, blending humor with curiosity.

The discussion comes ahead of the release of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, a horror-comedy directed by Priyadarshan. The film, marking the duo’s first collaboration in 14 years since Khatta Meetha (2010), features an ensemble cast including Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, and the late Asrani, who passed away in October last year.
A recently unveiled teaser for Bhooth Bangla highlights classic Priyadarshan comedy elements, witty dialogues, and the supernatural theme of a ghost hovering around the plot. The story introduces the Vadhusur curse in Mangalpuri, setting the tone for the film’s comedic horror narrative.
Originally scheduled for a May 15, 2026 release, the film has now been preponed to April 10, 2026. Produced by Akshay Kumar along with Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R. Kapoor, and presented by Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films, the film is anticipated to blend humor and spookiness in the director’s signature style.
