AI imagines Ranveer Singh as Lord Rama; fans love it.

The internet has been buzzing with AI-generated images of Ranveer Singh reimagined as Lord Rama, coinciding with the growing anticipation for Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming Ramayana Part 1, set to release during Diwali 2026. Fans on social media have praised the AI renderings, highlighting Ranveer Singh’s facial features and acting range as fitting for the iconic role of the Maryada Purushottam.

Many users expressed admiration for the concept, commenting that Ranveer “would have nailed the Lord Rama character” and calling him a “perfect” fit due to his youthful appearance and versatility. One fan even suggested that he could convincingly portray Ravana or Indrajit, emphasizing his capability to handle diverse and complex roles. The AI-generated images have sparked playful debates among users about casting choices, with some comparing Singh to other actors, including Hrithik Roshan.

Meanwhile, excitement is building for Ramayana Part 1, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. The recently released teaser, running for two minutes and 38 seconds, showcases the actor embodying the legendary figure, from battling monsters to enduring exile in the forest. The visuals aim to capture Rama’s grandeur, grace, and regality, signaling a high-octane retelling of the epic.

Produced by Namit Malhotra, the project has been in the making for six to seven years and carries a staggering budget of Rs 4,000 crore (around $500 million for both parts). The scale of the production has already generated widespread attention, positioning the film as one of the most expensive and ambitious Indian cinematic ventures to date.

Apart from Ranbir Kapoor, the film features Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, and Yash in key roles. The release strategy spans two parts, with the first installment scheduled for Diwali 2026 and the second part set for Diwali 2027, promising a multi-year cinematic journey into the Indian epic.

In a light-hearted incident during a New York promotional event, a fan mistakenly praised Ranbir Kapoor for his work in Dhurandhar, confusing him with Ranveer Singh. Kapoor laughed off the mix-up, reflecting the growing fanfare surrounding the film and the curiosity about its star-studded cast. The blend of social media chatter, AI speculation, and the film’s grand production has made Ramayana a major talking point in Bollywood well ahead of its release.
