Tata Motors has launched the all-new Sierra EV in India, marking the return of the iconic Sierra nameplate in an electric avatar. Positioned as a premium mid-size electric SUV, the model comes with an introductory starting price of ₹18.79 lakh (ex-showroom, without charger) and is set to begin deliveries from 15 July 2026. Bookings for the SUV are now open, with Tata aiming to strengthen its position in India’s rapidly expanding EV market.

One of the key highlights of the Sierra EV is its claimed driving range. The SUV is equipped with a 75 kWh battery pack and offers a certified MIDC range of up to 665 km, with a real-world estimate of around 510–530 km. Tata Motors says the vehicle supports fast charging, allowing it to gain up to 263 km of range in just 15 minutes, while a 20–80 per cent charge takes approximately 26 minutes. The company is also offering a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, enhancing long-term ownership confidence.

Inside, the Sierra EV features a tech-heavy and premium cabin design that Tata describes as a “Luxury LifeSpace.” The SUV includes a PanoraMax sunroof, triple-screen Theater Pro setup, Dolby Atmos audio system, and a 12-speaker JBL Black sound system with SonicShaft soundbar. Additional features include a HypAR head-up display, AirConsole gaming support, powered seats with thigh support extension, a powered gesture-controlled tailgate, and a large 622-litre boot space. Smart functions such as Digi Access and e-Valet also enable auto-park, summon, and reverse assist capabilities.

The SUV can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 5.8 seconds using Boost Mode, positioning it among the quicker electric SUVs in its segment. It is built on Tata’s Acti.ev+ architecture, which supports enhanced efficiency and structural strength.

The vehicle also offers strong off-road and driving capability features, including six terrain modes, around 205 mm of ground clearance, and a 540-degree HD camera system with Transparent Mode for improved visibility in challenging conditions.
