Skoda Kylaq Sportline Trim Debuts With Several Cosmetic Design Enhancements

Skoda Kylaq Sportline gets cosmetic updates.

Skoda Auto India has expanded its compact SUV portfolio with the launch of the new Kylaq Sportline, a sportier variant positioned within the company's popular Kylaq range. The new trim brings a series of cosmetic changes inspired by Skoda's motorsport heritage and is intended to give the SUV a more distinctive visual identity. The Kylaq Sportline is available with both manual and automatic transmission options, with prices ranging from Rs 11.32 lakh to Rs 12.32 lakh, ex-showroom. The Sportline becomes the seventh variant of the Skoda Kylaq in India.

While the new trim does not represent a fundamental change to the compact SUV's core proposition, it introduces styling enhancements designed to differentiate it from the standard versions.  The focus is primarily on visual appeal, with blacked-out elements being used across the exterior and interior to create a sportier appearance. The exterior styling of the Kylaq Sportline draws inspiration from Skoda's motorsport design language. The black treatment gives the SUV a sharper and more aggressive look, distinguishing the Sportline from other variants in the lineup.

These cosmetic changes are aimed at buyers who want a more distinctive version of the Kylaq without moving into a completely different vehicle category. Inside the cabin, the Sportline continues the darker, sport-oriented theme with blacked-out styling elements. The treatment is intended to create a cohesive appearance between the exterior and interior while reinforcing the character of the new variant. Skoda has positioned the Sportline as a more visually expressive version of the Kylaq, with the emphasis on design rather than a major mechanical transformation. The availability of both manual and automatic transmissions gives customers greater flexibility when choosing the Sportline variant.

The price range of Rs 11.32 lakh to Rs 12.32 lakh, ex-showroom, places the new trim within the existing Kylaq portfolio while adding another option for customers seeking additional styling appeal. The exact price varies depending on the transmission and configuration selected. The launch of the Sportline comes as Skoda continues to strengthen its presence in India's compact SUV segment. The Kylaq has become an important model for the brand in the domestic market, and expanding its variant lineup allows Skoda to target different customer preferences without introducing a separate model.

The addition of the Sportline also gives buyers an alternative to the more conventionally styled versions of the SUV. With the new Sportline, Skoda is offering a Kylaq variant aimed at customers who prioritise a sportier appearance and stronger visual differentiation. The combination of blacked-out exterior and interior elements, along with manual and automatic transmission choices, gives the compact SUV a more distinctive character. Starting at Rs 11.32 lakh and extending to Rs 12.32 lakh, ex-showroom, the Kylaq Sportline adds another choice to Skoda's growing seven-variant lineup.
