Kia Seltos to Introduce GTX(O) and X-Line(O) as New Top Variants

Kia is reportedly preparing to introduce two new top-end variants of the Kia Seltos, likely to be named GTX(O) and X-Line(O). These trims are expected to offer features above the current top variants in the lineup, signalling Kia’s intent to enhance the appeal of its popular midsize SUV in a competitive segment.

The new variants were recently referenced in Bharat NCAP crash test documents, despite not appearing in Kia’s current official lineup. This has fuelled speculation that the automaker plans to launch them in the coming months as more feature-loaded alternatives to the existing GTX(A) and X-Line(A) models.

The introduction comes at a strategic time for the Seltos, which has already seen a successful 2026 with a new-generation update, a cumulative sales milestone of six lakh units, and a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating. The additional trims are likely aimed at maintaining momentum in the rapidly growing midsize SUV market.

While Kia has not officially confirmed the launch date or detailed specifications, automotive experts anticipate upgraded interior and technology features, enhanced comfort, and possibly cosmetic updates to differentiate the new variants from the existing lineup. The move underscores Kia’s focus on offering premium options to attract discerning buyers.
