Hyundai Launches 2026 Verna Facelift With Level 2 ADAS
2026 Hyundai Verna gets design refresh, Level 2 ADAS, more comfort features.
The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift (launched in March 2026 in India) introduces a refreshed mid-cycle update to the popular mid-size sedan, building on the model introduced in 2023. This version brings subtle exterior revisions, notable interior enhancements, added safety and convenience features, and a new variant naming structure, while retaining the same mechanical underpinnings. It continues to compete against rivals like the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Honda City in the premium sedan segment.
Exterior changes are evolutionary rather than revolutionary. The facelifted Verna features a revised front fascia with a dark chrome or black chrome grille, updated LED projector headlamps, redesigned bumpers for a more pronounced and aggressive look, and new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear sees minor tweaks like updated cladding, but the overall silhouette and fastback-inspired profile remain largely unchanged. New color options, including Titan Grey Matte and Classy Blue, join the palette, enhancing visual appeal without altering the core design language.
Interior updates focus on premium touches and technology. The cabin now includes a redesigned dashboard with a curved dual-screen layout (often larger units like 10.25-inch or up to 12.3-inch displays in higher trims), a new three-spoke steering wheel featuring a Morse Code 'H' logo, and refreshed themes such as all-black interiors with red stitching on turbo variants. Comfort additions include powered front seats (with driver memory and welcome function), an electric walk-in device for the co-driver seat, rear sunshades, and improved materials for a more upscale feel.

Feature and safety enhancements stand out as key improvements. The 2026 model adds first-in-segment elements like a 360-degree camera, seven airbags (up from six on the top variant), Level-2 ADAS suite, Bose audio system, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a dashcam, blind spot monitoring, and a larger 528-litre boot in some contexts. Other highlights include a surround-view monitor, paddle shifters, rain-sensing wipers, and highline TPMS, making it more competitive in tech and occupant protection.
Powertrain and mechanical aspects see no changes. The facelift retains the proven 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (115 PS, 143.8 Nm) with 6-speed manual or CVT options, and the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (160 PS, 253 Nm) paired with 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT. Performance, fuel efficiency, and driving dynamics remain identical to the pre-facelift model.
Pricing reflects the added value, starting at Rs 10.98 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base HX2 variant and going up to Rs 18.25 lakh for the top HX10, with slight increases over the previous range. Overall, the 2026 Verna facelift strengthens its position through targeted refinements in style, safety, and luxury without overhauling what already works well.
