2025 Skoda Octavia RS Returns to India with 265PS and 250km/h Thrill
Skoda brings back Octavia RS to India with 265PS and aggressive styling.
Czech automaker Skoda has announced the eagerly awaited launch of the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS in India, set for November as a fully imported Completely Built Unit (CBU) in a single, fully loaded variant. Marking the return of Skoda’s high-performance sedan, the Octavia RS was first showcased in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, promising a blend of thrilling dynamics and premium features.
Powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine, the Octavia RS delivers 265 PS and 370 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox driving the front wheels. Skoda claims the sedan accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and reaches an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. An electronic limited-slip differential enhances traction, particularly in sharp corners, while a tuned chassis, lowered by 15mm, and firmer dampers reduce body roll for sharper handling without sacrificing daily comfort. The recalibrated steering further improves driver feedback.
Visually, the Octavia RS stands out with gloss black trim replacing chrome, a redesigned front grille with RS badging, air intakes, Matrix LED headlamps, and a rear diffuser with twin exhaust tips. Inside, the cabin features sports seats in suede and artificial leather, red contrast stitching, aluminium pedals, and RS logos on the steering wheel and seatbacks, maintaining the standard Octavia’s layout with distinctive flair.

The Octavia RS is equipped with a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display, and adaptive cruise control. Optional features include a Canton premium audio system and dynamic chassis control for customizable driving modes. Safety is prioritized with ten airbags and advanced driver assistance systems, including Driver Drowsiness Detection, Multi-Collision Brake, and Crew Protect Assist.
Priced at an estimated ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom) due to import duties, the Octavia RS will compete with the Volkswagen Golf GTI, sharing its platform. With its potent performance and premium features, the 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is poised to capture the attention of India’s performance car enthusiasts when it arrives in November.
