Citroen India revamps the 2025 C3 lineup with significant price cuts and a new top-spec C3X variant, starting at ₹5.25 lakh.
Citroen India has announced a substantial price reduction for the 2025 Citroen C3 hatchback, making it one of the most competitively priced options in its segment. The updated lineup now starts at ₹5.25 lakh (ex-showroom), with price cuts of up to ₹1.29 lakh across variants. Alongside this, the company has introduced the new top-spec C3X trim, starting at ₹7.91 lakh, as part of its ‘Citroen 2.0’ growth strategy. Bookings are open at authorized dealerships and online, with deliveries set to begin in the first week of September 2025.
The 2025 Citroen C3 lineup includes the Live, Feel, and a new Feel (O) variant, alongside the rebranded X Shine trims. The entry-level Live variant now costs ₹5.25 lakh, a reduction of ₹98,000, while the Feel variant sees the largest price cut of ₹1.29 lakh, now priced at ₹6.23 lakh. The new Feel (O) variant is introduced at ₹7.27 lakh. The X Shine trims, replacing the previous Shine variants, start at ₹7.91 lakh and include additional features despite price reductions of up to ₹25,000. The top-spec X Shine Turbo AT is now ₹9.90 lakh, down by ₹10,000.
The C3 retains its powertrain options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 82 HP, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 110 HP, available with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, exclusive to the X Shine variants. A retrofitted CNG kit is offered on all naturally aspirated petrol variants for an additional ₹93,000, enhancing fuel efficiency to a claimed 28.1 km/kg. The turbo-petrol automatic variant delivers 18.3 kmpl, while the naturally aspirated petrol engine achieves 19.3 kmpl.

The updated C3 lineup introduces new features, particularly in the X Shine trims, including LED projector headlights, a leatherette-wrapped dashboard, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, and an optional 360-degree camera for ₹25,000. Safety features include up to six airbags, electronic stability control, and tyre pressure monitoring on higher trims. The C3 offers five monotone exterior colors—Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, and a new Garnet Red—along with two dual-tone options for the X Shine variants.
With its revised pricing, the Citroen C3 undercuts rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Ignis (₹5.85 lakh), Tata Punch (₹6 lakh), and Hyundai Exter (₹6 lakh), positioning it as a strong contender in the compact hatchback and SUV segment. Citroen’s aggressive price strategy and enhanced features aim to boost its market appeal, offering a compelling blend of style, functionality, and value for Indian consumers.
