VinFast MPV 7 Launches in India on April 15: Electric MPV Bookings Open at Rs 21,000

VinFast opens bookings for its first electric MPV in India ahead of the April 15 launch.

VinFast is set to expand its footprint in the Indian automotive market with the launch of its new electric multi-purpose vehicle, the MPV 7, scheduled for April 15. The upcoming model will be the company’s third offering in India, following the introduction of its VF6 and VF7 SUVs. The automaker has already opened bookings for the vehicle, allowing prospective buyers to reserve the MPV 7 with a token amount of ₹21,000, signalling growing intent to establish a stronger presence in the country’s fast-evolving EV segment.

The MPV 7 marks a significant milestone for VinFast as it enters the electric MPV category in India for the first time. This move reflects the company’s strategy to diversify its product lineup and cater to a broader range of consumers, especially families seeking spacious and eco-friendly mobility solutions. By targeting individual buyers rather than commercial operators, VinFast aims to position the MPV 7 as a premium and feature-rich offering within its segment, distinguishing it from more utilitarian electric people movers.

In terms of dimensions, the MPV 7 closely resembles the brand’s Limo Green model, measuring 4740 mm in length, 1872 mm in width, and 1734 mm in height. Despite these similarities, the MPV 7 is designed with a more refined approach, offering enhanced comfort and aesthetics suited for private ownership. The vehicle is expected to deliver a balance between practicality and style, catering to urban and long-distance travel needs while maintaining ample cabin space for passengers.

The feature list of the MPV 7 underlines its premium positioning, with highlights including leatherette upholstery, ambient lighting integrated into the front and rear sections, and keyless entry functionality. Additionally, the model is equipped with larger 19-inch alloy wheels, which not only enhance its visual appeal but also contribute to improved road presence. These upgrades set it apart from the Limo Green, which is primarily built for commercial usage with more basic specifications.

On the design front, the MPV 7 carries forward VinFast’s signature styling cues, featuring sleek LED headlights and connected taillights that lend the vehicle a modern and cohesive look. Inside the cabin, the MPV is equipped with a 10.1-inch infotainment system, multiple USB-A and USB-C charging ports, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and adjustable steering. These elements aim to improve convenience and driving ergonomics, ensuring a comfortable experience for both the driver and passengers.

Safety and performance features have also been given due importance in the MPV 7. The vehicle comes equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), all-disc brakes, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and advanced braking and stability assistance systems. With its official launch just days away, the MPV 7 is expected to intensify competition in India’s electric vehicle market, particularly in the family-orientated MPV segment, as VinFast continues its push toward sustainable mobility solutions.
