TVS-BMW Achieve 200K Milestone as F 450 GS Rolls Out from India
TVS and BMW hit 200,000-unit milestone in their global bike alliance.
TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad have reached a significant production milestone of 200,000 units through their partnership that began in 2013, highlighting over a decade of successful collaboration in the sub-500cc motorcycle segment. This Indo-German alliance has produced popular models like the BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS, G 310 RR, and TVS Apache RR 310 series, now available in more than 100 global markets across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The achievement underscores TVS's Hosur plant's capability in delivering world-class quality and performance.
Manufacturing of the new BMW F 450 GS, recently unveiled at EICMA 2025 in Italy, has commenced at TVS's state-of-the-art facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, marking a new chapter in high-end motorcycle production. This adventure bike represents advanced engineering synergy between the two companies, building on their history of innovation including the first jointly developed electric vehicle, the BMW CE 02. TVS's production excellence positions India as a key hub for premium global motorcycles.
K.N. Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company, emphasized the partnership's foundation in shared values of innovation and quality, noting that co-developed products have set new benchmarks worldwide. He highlighted the F 450 GS rollout as evidence of TVS's prowess in high-end manufacturing. The milestone reflects consistent demand and engineering excellence from the Hosur plant.
