TVS Apache RTX 300 is Built for India's Roads and it Shows

The TVS Apache RTX 300 was tested across city commutes and open highways over 400 kilometres.

The growing popularity of adventure-touring motorcycles in India reflects changing rider preferences, with many opting for machines that combine long-distance comfort with everyday usability. Manufacturers have responded by introducing versatile models designed to handle both highways and unpredictable urban roads. Enter the TVS Apache RTX 300, a new offering positioned as a practical yet capable option in this expanding segment.

During a two-week road test covering over 400 kilometres, the RTX 300 was put through a mix of daily office commutes and a short weekend trip. This combination provided a realistic picture of how the motorcycle performs under typical usage conditions. From navigating traffic to cruising on open roads, the test aimed to evaluate whether the RTX 300 lives up to its promise of being an all-rounder.

At first glance, the RTX 300 projects a strong road presence, thanks to its 835 mm seat height, distinctive LED headlamps, and a robust front fairing. While it may initially appear large and slightly intimidating, the riding experience tells a different story. Once on the saddle, the bike feels spacious and comfortable, offering an upright posture that reduces fatigue over long durations. The wheel configuration—19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear—helps strike a balance between agility in city traffic and stability on highways.

Overall, the RTX 300 demonstrates that adventure tourers can effectively double as daily commuters without compromising on comfort. Its design and ergonomics cater to riders looking for versatility, making it a practical choice for both routine travel and occasional getaways. As the segment continues to grow, models like the RTX 300 underline how manufacturers are adapting to evolving rider expectations in India.
