Triumph Unveils New Tiger Alpine And Desert Editions With Premium Upgrades

Triumph launches Alpine and Desert Editions of Tiger 900 and 1200 with new features and styling.

Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the Alpine and Desert Editions for its popular adventure-touring lineup — the Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200. The British bike maker’s latest special editions bring distinctive paint schemes, added equipment, and refined comfort features tailored for touring and off-road enthusiasts alike. The updated models mark a premium evolution of the existing GT Pro and Rally Pro variants in both ranges, further extending Triumph’s presence in the competitive adventure motorcycle segment.

The Triumph Tiger 900 Alpine and Desert Editions carry forward the tried-and-tested 888cc T-plane triple engine, producing 106 bhp and 89.48 Nm of torque. For the first time, Triumph has introduced a factory-fitted Akrapovic exhaust as standard equipment on an adventure motorcycle, giving both variants a sharper exhaust note and improved throttle response. For protection, the Alpine Edition comes equipped with engine guards suitable for long-distance touring, while the Desert variant features additional fuel tank protection bars, enhancing its off-road durability.

In terms of hardware, the new Tiger 900 models retain their signature chassis geometry with premium suspension components. The Alpine continues with Marzocchi suspension providing 180 mm of travel, while the Desert gets long-travel Showa units offering 240 mm for rugged terrain adaptability. Both bikes are fitted with Brembo Stylema calipers for enhanced braking performance. Aesthetic updates set them apart — the Alpine receives a Snowdonia White and Sapphire Black color scheme with blue detailing, while the Desert sports Urban Grey and Sapphire Black hues with striking orange accents.

The larger Triumph Tiger 1200 range also joins the lineup with Alpine and Desert Editions. Both versions maintain the 1,160cc T-plane triple engine that generates 147 bhp and 129 Nm of torque, paired with semi-active Showa suspension and shaft drive for superior highway stability. Triumph has now added its advanced Blind Spot Detection system — earlier exclusive to the Explorer variants — along with heated seats for both rider and pillion as standard on all 20-litre variants. These new editions also receive exclusive paint options, ranging from subtle whites and blues to contrasting granite and yellow colorways.

Aside from visual and equipment enhancements, the Tiger 1200 remains mechanically identical, continuing with 200 mm of suspension travel, tubeless spoked wheels (21-inch front and 18-inch rear), and Brembo Stylema brakes. Triumph aims to position these new editions as a fusion of comfort and capability — perfect for both alpine tours and desert adventures. With these upgrades, the Tiger 900 and 1200 Alpine and Desert Editions promise to deliver an elevated adventure riding experience while maintaining the brand’s hallmark performance and design excellence.
