Triumph 400 Range Price Hike: Speed 400, Scrambler, Thruxton Now Costlier by Rs 5,000
Triumph revises prices for the Speed 400, Speed T4, Scrambler, and Thruxton 400 in India.
Triumph Motorcycles has increased prices across its 400 motorcycle range in India, making all four models in the lineup more expensive by up to Rs 5,000. The revision affects the Speed T4, Speed 400, Scrambler 400 XC, and Thruxton 400, with the updated prices now applicable across dealerships. Despite the increase, the motorcycles continue to target buyers seeking premium mid-capacity machines with a blend of performance, styling, and brand heritage.
The Triumph Speed 400 has received a price hike of Rs 2,000 and is now priced at Rs 2.34 lakh, up from its earlier ex-showroom price of Rs 2.32 lakh. The Speed T4 has witnessed a larger increase of Rs 4,000, taking its price to Rs 1.99 lakh from Rs 1.95 lakh. Meanwhile, the Scrambler 400 XC and Thruxton 400 have become costlier by Rs 5,000 each and are now priced at Rs 2.94 lakh and Rs 2.70 lakh, respectively. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Among the updated models, the Speed T4’s revision is particularly notable, as it marks the motorcycle’s first price increase since its launch. The model is also unique within Triumph’s current 350cc platform range because it did not benefit from the earlier GST 2.0-related transition to the smaller engine platform. As a result, the current version now carries a higher price tag than the outgoing 399cc variant that was available until recently.

Mechanically, the motorcycles remain unchanged and continue to be based on Triumph’s 350cc platform. However, performance figures differ across the lineup. The Speed T4 produces 29 hp and 31 Nm of torque, while the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 XC generate 37 hp and 32 Nm. At the top of the range, the Thruxton 400 delivers 40 hp and 32 Nm, matching the output figures of the recently introduced Tracker 400.
The latest price adjustment comes at a time when Triumph’s entry-level premium motorcycles have established a strong presence in the Indian market. The 400 series has gained popularity among enthusiasts due to its combination of modern technology, premium design, accessible pricing, and the brand’s global reputation. The motorcycles continue to compete in a segment that has seen growing demand from riders looking to upgrade from smaller-capacity machines.
Industry observers believe the increase is unlikely to significantly impact demand, given the strong market positioning of the Triumph 400 range. However, prospective buyers will now have to account for the higher acquisition cost when evaluating options in the premium motorcycle segment. With the revised pricing now in effect, Triumph remains focused on strengthening its presence in one of the world's largest two-wheeler markets while maintaining its competitive appeal.
