Suzuki GSX-8R Launches New “Bhagwa” Colour Option In Updated Line-Up

Suzuki has introduced a new orange colour option for its GSX-8R motorcycle in the United Kingdom, adding a bold visual update to the middleweight sportbike without making any mechanical changes to the model. The updated version of the Suzuki GSX-8R has been launched as part of the brand’s 2026 colour refresh strategy, with the bright orange finish offered as a standard, no-cost option alongside existing shades such as Triton Blue, Pearl White, and Matt Black.

The new colour has drawn attention for its vivid styling, which some observers have compared to the orange tones seen in recent consumer electronics design trends. Despite the visual update, the motorcycle’s core performance package remains unchanged. The Suzuki GSX-8R continues to be powered by a 776 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine producing around 82 horsepower and 77 Nm of torque. It retains the same lightweight chassis and electronics package that position it as a competitive option in the middleweight sportbike segment.

The pricing structure in the UK also remains consistent, with the orange variant listed at approximately £8,999 (around ₹11.57 lakh), matching the cost of other colour options in the lineup. This positions the update as a styling-focused enhancement rather than a premium or limited-edition release, aimed at expanding customer choice rather than altering the model’s market positioning.

Suzuki’s decision to introduce brighter colour schemes reflects a broader design trend within its 2026 lineup, as the manufacturer increasingly experiments with high-visibility finishes alongside traditional colour palettes. Similar orange and yellow variants have already appeared in select European markets, suggesting a gradual standardisation of more expressive styling options across regions.

While the mechanical specifications remain unchanged, the GSX-8R continues to be positioned as a versatile sportbike capable of both road use and track-oriented performance. The model’s balanced power delivery and modern electronics package have helped it maintain relevance in a highly competitive segment, with the new colour expected to appeal primarily to riders seeking a more distinctive visual identity.
