Scooters, Roadster X with MoveOS 5 Upgrade

Ola Electric has launched MoveOS 5, a cutting-edge software upgrade for its S1 scooter range and Roadster X motorcycles, rolled out via over-the-air (OTA) updates starting this week. The in-house developed operating system introduces over 50 new features, enhancing performance, reliability, and range, the Bengaluru-based company announced Tuesday.

The upgrade optimizes Ola’s proprietary motor control unit, delivering a refined, responsive riding experience, particularly on the Gen 3 platform. Key additions include DIY Mode for customizing speed, power, and throttle sensitivity, and Road-Trip Mode with real-time tracking and SOS alerts via Ola Maps. A Bharat Mood theme, inspired by the peacock, enhances the dashboard, while a smartwatch app enables remote unlocking and status checks.

“MoveOS 5 reflects our commitment to continuous innovation, delivering a personalized, robust, and future-ready riding experience,” said an Ola Electric spokesperson. With over 4,000 retail locations, Ola leads India’s electric two-wheeler market, and this upgrade strengthens its edge.
