Hero MotoCorp has announced that deliveries of its highly anticipated Xoom 160 maxi-scooter, launched in January 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, will commence this month. Priced at ₹1.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the Xoom 160 is now available for bookings and aims to redefine the premium scooter segment in India with its rugged design and advanced features.
The Hero Xoom 160 boasts a muscular aesthetic, featuring a tall windscreen, a single-piece seat, and a distinctive dual-chamber LED headlight. Measuring 1983 mm in length, 772 mm in width, with a seat height of 787 mm and a ground clearance of 155 mm, it offers a commanding presence. Buyers can opt for accessories like a taller windscreen and a touring box. Available in four striking colors—Matte Rainforest Grey, Summit White, Canyon Red, and Matte Volcanic Grey—the scooter caters to diverse tastes.
Equipped with a 156 cc liquid-cooled engine, the Xoom 160 delivers 14.6 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a CVT automatic transmission. Weighing 142 kg, it achieves an estimated fuel efficiency of 40 kmpl, making it ideal for both urban commutes and longer rides. The scooter features 14-inch alloy wheels (120/70 front, 140/60 rear), telescopic front forks, dual rear shock absorbers, and a front disc brake with single-channel ABS for enhanced safety.

Technologically advanced, the Xoom 160 includes a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn navigation, keyless ignition, remote seat unlock, and full LED lighting. Positioned as a direct competitor to the Yamaha Aerox 155, it also rivals the Aprilia SXR 160, offering a compelling blend of style, performance, and value.
With deliveries set to begin in September 2025, the Hero Xoom 160 is poised to make a significant impact in India’s premium scooter market, appealing to riders seeking adventure and practicality.
