Aprilia Reveals RS-GP26 Ahead of 2026 MotoGP Season With Record-Breaking Ambitions
Aprilia unveils its RS-GP26 MotoGP bike ahead of the 2026 season with Bezzecchi and Martin as riders.
Aprilia Racing has revealed its 2026 MotoGP contender, the RS-GP26, during a team launch event in Italy, signaling the team’s ambitions for another record-breaking season. With engine development frozen under current regulations, the focus for the upcoming season is on refining setup, aerodynamics, and race execution to gain crucial performance advantages.
The RS-GP26 maintains Aprilia Racing’s signature colours while adding the Leone Alato, or winged lion, emblem to its livery. The symbol, reflecting strength, resilience, and determination, also honors Aprilia’s ties to Venice and the heritage of its Noale-based team.
Following a landmark 2025 season, Aprilia aims to build on its success. Last year, the team finished second in the Manufacturers’ Championship with 418 points, Marco Bezzecchi secured third in the Riders’ standings, and Aprilia celebrated its 300th Grand Prix win at the Australian GP, cementing its position as the most successful European manufacturer in MotoGP history.

For 2026, Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin will continue as the team’s riders. Bezzecchi, who delivered an exceptional performance in 2025, is expected to maintain his upward trajectory, while Martin brings further talent and experience to the Aprilia lineup.
Technically, the RS-GP26 represents Aprilia’s latest engineering advancements. The bike features a 1000cc engine, advanced aerodynamics, ride-height adjustment devices, and a refined chassis setup. With new regulations set to take effect in 2027, this iteration is expected to be Aprilia’s fastest prototype to date.
Aprilia’s management emphasized that 2026 will be a season of “small improvements with big impact,” as the team looks to convert its engineering gains into podiums and victories across the demanding MotoGP calendar, targeting both consistency and breakthrough performances.
