Skoda Kodiaq RS First Batch Sold Out In Six Minutes Ahead Of Launch
Limited Skoda Kodiaq RS units sold out within six minutes.
Škoda Auto India has announced that the first batch of its upcoming Kodiaq RS SUV has been completely sold out within just six minutes of bookings opening on June 22, signalling strong early demand for the performance-focused variant of its flagship SUV. The company is yet to officially reveal the pricing, though industry estimates place it at around ₹60 lakh (ex-showroom).
The rapid booking response highlights strong consumer interest in the high-performance version of the Kodiaq lineup. The model is positioned as the most powerful variant in the range, offering a significant upgrade over the standard SUV in both performance and driving dynamics, while maintaining its premium positioning in the Indian market.
Under the hood, the Kodiaq RS is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 265 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. According to company claims, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds, making it one of the quickest models in its segment.

The performance package is further enhanced by Dynamic Chassis Control Plus (DCC Plus), an adaptive suspension system designed to optimise ride comfort and handling. This technology allows the SUV to adjust to different driving conditions, offering improved stability at high speeds while maintaining everyday usability on city roads.
On the exterior, the Kodiaq RS comes with sportier design elements, including 20-inch alloy wheels, LED Matrix headlights, a grille light strip, and four monotone colour options such as Moon White, Steel Grey, Velvet Red, and Magic Black. The SUV retains the familiar silhouette of the Kodiaq but adds subtle RS-specific styling cues to distinguish it as a performance variant.
Inside, the cabin features an all-black theme with red accents and stitching, along with a 12.9-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 13-speaker Canton audio system. Safety and convenience features include nine airbags, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, advanced driver assistance features, ventilated and heated sport seats, a panoramic sunroof, and dual wireless charging. The Kodiaq RS is expected to be priced at a premium over the standard model, reinforcing its position as a flagship performance SUV in India.
