Hero Xtreme 125R Dual-Channel ABS Debuts In India With Cruise Control At Rs 1.04 Lakh

Hero MotoCorp launches upgraded Xtreme 125R with dual-channel ABS and cruise control at Rs 1.04 lakh.

Hero MotoCorp has introduced a new variant of the Xtreme 125R motorcycle in India, priced at Rs 1.04 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated model adds several segment-first features, headlined by dual-channel ABS and cruise control, marking a major upgrade in Hero’s 125cc lineup. While the mechanical setup remains unchanged, the latest variant enhances both aesthetics and technology offerings.

The Xtreme 125R retains its signature sporty design but now comes with three new dual-tone color options — Black Pearl Red, Black Matshadow Grey, and Black Leaf Green. Each color variant gets redesigned graphics, giving the motorcycle a more premium and aggressive look to match its commuter-sport identity.

For the first time in the segment, the motorcycle offers dual discs paired with dual-channel ABS, setting a new benchmark for safety among 125cc bikes. It also gets ride-by-wire throttle technology, which supports features like cruise control and three riding modes: Power, Road, and Eco. The same segmented color LCD console from Hero’s Glamour X model is carried over to display essential information.

Under the hood, the motorcycle continues to use a 124.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates 11.5 horsepower and 10.5 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Built to balance performance and fuel efficiency, the Xtreme 125R competes directly with models like the TVS Raider, Honda CB125 Hornet, and Bajaj Pulsar N125.

At a price point of Rs 1.04 lakh, the new Hero Xtreme 125R sits at the premium end of the brand’s lineup, about Rs 9,000 costlier than the top-spec TVS Raider. However, its addition of dual-channel ABS and ride-by-wire capabilities gives it a clear edge in both safety and modern features within its category.
