BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro: Most Powerful X3 Yet Arrives in India

The BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro packs a 258 hp mild-hybrid engine and launches Feb 16 as the top variant.

BMW is set to expand its X3 lineup in India with the launch of the BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro on February 16, 2026. Positioned as the most powerful iteration of the X3 range in the country, the new variant sits above the existing models and carries performance-focused upgrades inspired by BMW’s M division. With specifications now officially revealed and pre-bookings already underway, the SUV aims to attract buyers seeking a sportier and more premium mid-size luxury SUV experience.

On the design front, the X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro features the M Sport Professional package, which adds several aggressive visual elements. These include a gloss-black kidney grille, red M Sport brake calipers, and larger 20-inch alloy wheels, an inch bigger than those offered on other variants. Signature M details such as illuminated door sills, M badging on the front fenders, M-specific pedals, and an illuminated grille outline further enhance its sporty appeal. Despite these cosmetic upgrades, the SUV retains the same dimensions as the rest of the X3 lineup.

Inside the cabin, the layout is familiar but well-equipped, mirroring the xDrive 20 series. The dashboard houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Comfort and convenience features include three-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats with driver memory, a wireless phone charger, and a 15-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, reinforcing its premium positioning.

Safety remains a strong focus, with the new X3 variant offering a comprehensive suite of features. These include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and multiple airbags. BMW continues to emphasise both active and passive safety, making the X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro suitable for daily commuting as well as long highway drives.

Powering the SUV is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, producing 258 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels via BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The SUV can sprint from 0–100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 14.61 kmpl. In comparison, the lower 20i and 20d variants are significantly less powerful, making the X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro the clear performance-oriented flagship of the current Indian lineup.
