Aston Martin Valen is Now the World's Most Powerful Front-Engined Car
Aston Martin unveils 850bhp Valen, its most powerful front-engined car ever
Aston Martin has unveiled the Valen, a limited-production V12 supercar developed by its bespoke Q by Aston Martin division. Revealed in Monterey, California, the model is claimed to be the world's most powerful front-engined production car and the most powerful front-engined Aston Martin in the British marque's 113-year history.
The Valen produces 850bhp and 1,000Nm of torque from a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine. The substantial output places the limited-run model among Aston Martin's most performance-focused road cars, with the powertrain designed to deliver strong acceleration and high-speed performance while retaining the character of a front-engined grand tourer.
Weight reduction is another major focus of the Valen's development. The car weighs up to 110kg less than the standard V12 platform on which it is based. Aston Martin has used its bespoke Q division to introduce performance-oriented changes intended to improve the car's agility and response in addition to increasing outright power.

The Valen's front-engined layout is particularly significant because many modern high-performance supercars use mid-engined configurations to optimise weight distribution. Aston Martin's approach retains the company's traditional front-engined architecture while pushing its performance capability to a new level.
Production of the Valen will be strictly limited, with only 150 examples planned globally. The limited run is expected to make the model particularly exclusive, while its bespoke development further distinguishes it from Aston Martin's regular production range.
With 850bhp, 1,000Nm of torque, substantial weight savings and a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12, the Valen represents an extreme interpretation of Aston Martin's front-engined performance philosophy. Its combination of exclusivity and power gives the new model a distinctive position within the marque's expanding high-performance portfolio.
