Diljit Dosanjh Signals Possible Koffee With Karan 9 Visit, Plans Just One Interview in 2026

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has hinted at a possible appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9, telling fans that he has agreed to participate in just one interview this year. The Punjabi star teased a surprise during a recent Instagram Live session, prompting speculation that he could return to filmmaker Karan Johar’s popular celebrity chat show. Although Diljit did not disclose the name of the programme, his comments have fuelled excitement among fans who are hoping to see him back on the iconic coffee couch. Neither Diljit nor the show’s makers have officially confirmed his participation.

During the Instagram Live interaction, Diljit spoke about receiving an interview offer and explained why he had decided to accept it. He said the programme had told him that it was its last show for the year and indicated that he was expected to participate in the conversation. “I have received an offer for an interview. I can do that one. They said it is their last show for this year. I mean, on this topic, I am supposed to do it. It is their last show, so I agreed to do it,” the singer-actor said. He subsequently told viewers that they would receive a surprise and reiterated that he intended to give only one interview during the year. His remarks have led fans to connect the announcement with the ongoing ninth season of Koffee With Karan.

The possibility of Diljit appearing on the show has gained attention because of his earlier outing on the programme. He featured in Season 6 alongside rapper Badshah, with their episode combining candid conversations, humour and discussions about their personal interests. One of the memorable moments involved Diljit speaking about his social media crush on Kylie Jenner. The conversation attracted attention from viewers and became a widely discussed part of his appearance. A return to the show could give audiences another opportunity to hear the performer talk about his career, public image and experiences in the entertainment industry. However, until an official announcement is made, the details of any potential appearance remain uncertain.

Diljit’s latest comments have also prompted speculation about who might accompany him if he joins the ninth season. Some fans have suggested that actor Vicky Kaushal could appear alongside him. Reports published earlier this month had indicated that the two performers might share the couch during the season, although their participation has not been officially confirmed by the show’s makers. The possibility of bringing together the singer-actor and Kaushal has generated interest because both have established themselves in Indian entertainment through different career paths. Diljit has built a following through Punjabi music and film roles, while Kaushal has become a prominent figure in Hindi cinema. For now, the pairing remains a reported possibility rather than a confirmed part of the programme.

Koffee With Karan returned on October 14 for its ninth season, which has been described as the show’s final season. The opening episode featured Salman Khan, with Karisma Kapoor making a special appearance. The season has continued with celebrity conversations and personal anecdotes, maintaining the format that has made the programme a familiar fixture of Indian entertainment television. The upcoming third episode is set to feature Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, with Arjun Kapoor making a surprise appearance. A promotional teaser shows Dhawan and Janhvi discussing their past disagreement with Johar, adding a personal dimension to their conversation. New episodes are scheduled to release weekly on JioHotstar’s The Peacock Hub.

Diljit’s possible appearance would mark his return to the programme after several years, but his Instagram Live comments remain the only direct indication of his plans. He has not explicitly named Koffee With Karan as the interview he accepted, leaving room for speculation about the identity of the show. His statement that he would conduct only one interview this year has nevertheless heightened curiosity, particularly as the current season approaches its next episodes. Fans will have to wait for confirmation from Diljit or the production team to know whether he will reunite with Johar on the show. Until then, the anticipated appearance remains unconfirmed, despite the growing discussion surrounding his remarks.
