Vijay Deverakonda Hits Back At Trolls Questioning His Marriage To Rashmika Mandanna

Telugu actor Vijay Deverakonda has issued a strongly worded response to people questioning his marriage to actor Rashmika Mandanna, declaring that the couple is happy together and will not allow online criticism to affect their relationship. In a post on Instagram on October 26, Vijay described Rashmika as his best friend, wife and one of the most important parts of his life. He also made it clear that he would continue standing by her despite the backlash surrounding their relationship.

“My best friend, my wife, my woman. One of the most beautiful parts of my life that I got absolutely right,” Vijay wrote. Reassuring those concerned about the couple, he added that they were “gloriously happy” and that he felt blessed to have her in his life. He further expressed his determination to stand by Rashmika, writing, “If it's me and her against the world — so be it.” He ended the message with an explicit remark directed at those continuing to criticise their personal lives.

The actor’s response came shortly after Rashmika shared a detailed statement addressing the online backlash following their appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9. Their conversation about marriage had triggered debate on social media, particularly after Rashmika revealed that she had raised the subject with Vijay several times before they decided to marry. Some viewers questioned their relationship dynamic, prompting both actors to respond to the criticism.

Rashmika further defended her decision to express affection openly, asking why being deeply in love with her husband had become a subject of ridicule. She also objected to criticism directed at her family, describing such behaviour as bullying disguised as feminism.
