Salman Khan’s Residence Sees Increased Security Following Attack On Tiger Shroff

Security measures at Salman Khan's residence have reportedly been strengthened following the attack.

Mumbai Police have increased security outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartments in Bandra following the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff in the Juhu area. Police personnel wearing bulletproof jackets and additional police vehicles have been deployed near the building as a precautionary measure. Officers are also checking vehicles passing through the area to strengthen surveillance and prevent any potential security threat. The move comes amid heightened concern over the safety of prominent personalities in the film industry.

The security measures follow an incident on Sunday evening when armed assailants allegedly opened fire at Tiger’s car as he was leaving a football venue in Juhu. According to police, seven rounds were fired, with five reportedly hitting the vehicle. Tiger escaped without gunshot injuries, while his driver and another person were injured in the incident. The actor reportedly helped take his injured driver to Nanavati Hospital after the shooting.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack through a message attributed to one of its members. The message allegedly referred to Tiger’s association with Salman and warned people working with the Bollywood star. Police are investigating the authenticity of the claim and examining whether the shooting was carried out as part of a wider intimidation campaign. The alleged threat has added to concerns surrounding the security of Salman and people associated with him.

Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the firing and are working to establish the sequence of events, identify the individuals involved and determine the motive behind the attack. Three suspects were arrested at Kota railway station in Rajasthan during a joint operation involving Mumbai Police and the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force. Two of the accused are reportedly from Haryana, while the third is from Bihar. Investigators are questioning them to establish their respective roles and identify any others who may have been involved.

The latest incident has also renewed attention on previous threats against Salman. In April 2024, gunmen opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments, prompting authorities to strengthen security around the actor and his residence. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has repeatedly issued threats against Salman, reportedly linked to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Police have been investigating several incidents involving individuals allegedly associated with the gang, including attacks on people believed to be close to the actor.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reportedly spoken to Tiger to enquire about his well-being and assured strict action against those responsible for the shooting. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also visited the actor following the incident. With the investigation continuing, Mumbai Police are examining possible connections between the attack, the alleged gang claim and earlier threats against members of the film industry. Authorities have not publicly established all the details surrounding the motive behind the shooting.
