Bihar Vidya Saathi Launched For Classes 9-12 With Live Teacher Support
Bihar launches round-the-clock academic support for Classes 9-12 students.
Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has launched the Bihar Vidya Saathi platform, a 24-hour online learning initiative aimed at providing academic support to students of Classes 9 to 12. The platform was launched through video conferencing for 700 Saraswati Vidya Niketan Model Schools across the state. According to the Bihar government, the initiative is designed to supplement classroom education with round-the-clock digital learning and academic guidance.
The platform will provide students with access to around 75,000 teachers who can offer one-on-one academic assistance according to individual requirements. Students will also receive digital study materials and access to AI-powered tools intended to support conceptual learning, practice and preparation. The initiative is expected to benefit around three lakh students enrolled in the participating model schools.
According to the Chief Minister's Office, the platform will also support preparation for Bihar Board examinations as well as competitive examinations such as the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Students will be able to seek help with academic queries at any time, allowing them to supplement their regular school studies with online assistance.

Choudhary described the initiative as an important step towards providing quality education and proper guidance to students. He urged students to make full use of the digital platform to strengthen their knowledge and skills. The Bihar Education Department also described the initiative as an effort to combine technology with education and expand access to academic support.
Initially, the platform has arrangements for all subjects for Classes 9 and 10, while Science subjects have been included for Classes 11 and 12. Choudhary said the government plans to gradually expand the range of subjects and services available through the platform. The initiative is intended to give students additional learning support beyond regular classroom hours.
The launch marks another step by the Bihar government towards integrating digital tools into school education. By bringing teachers, learning resources and AI-supported study tools onto a single platform, Bihar Vidya Saathi is aimed at making academic assistance more accessible to students in participating schools. The government has positioned the initiative as a way to help students address academic difficulties and prepare more effectively for board and competitive examinations.
