Tamil Superstar Ajith Kumar, currently in Malaysia for the Michelin 12H Malaysia Endurance Race at Sepang International Circuit, made time for a spiritual detour to the iconic Batu Caves Murugan Temple on Tuesday. Dressed simply in a white T-shirt, jeans, and sunglasses perched on his head, the actor quietly climbed the 272 colourful steps to the hilltop shrine, only to be instantly recognised by devotees and tourists. With folded hands and a calm smile, Ajith politely urged the crowd, “No shouting, please. It’s a temple,” instantly bringing the decibel level down and earning applause for his humility. He then proceeded to offer prayers at the world’s tallest Lord Murugan statue, maintaining the serene atmosphere that devotees cherish at the 130-year-old Hindu pilgrimage site.
